Land Rover and Range Rover are cars built by the Rover company in England. This is one of the few companies that is uniquely owned by the employees who build the cars, and not by a large corporation, which creates a level of attention to quality that not all car manufacturers possess. These vehicles are known for being great off-road cars. As a result they are the most used cars in Africa, where they are known for being the only vehicle manufacturer that can take the African roads without the doors falling off.
Though older Land Rovers were known for being bare-bones and great for off-roading, the newer versions have added some of the luxury of their high-end brand, Range Rover. The standard features like durable construction and all-wheel drive are the same. However, the newer cars also have luxury items like heated seats, leather interior, and auto-leveling suspension. They still carry the price tags of a mid-level SUV, the durability of an off-road car, and many of the features of a luxury car.
If you're looking for a luxury SUV, few cars can hold a candle to the Range Rover. These cars still have the durability of a specialized off-road vehicle, but the interior and handling can compete with any luxury vehicle on the market. These cars come in both five or seven-seater options, and several different engine styles. Though most international models are diesels, this engine is not commercially available in the United States, though a few exist used from imported models.
