This year is the 70th anniversary of the foundation of Kia Motors, one of the biggest manufacturers in Seoul, Korea.
The history of this brand has been an amazing journey, since they began developing bicycle parts by hand in 1944 and recently they won the “International Car of the Year” award, thanks to the Kia Cadenza. The power of evolution and transformation that Kia showed is outstanding, that might be the reason why they chose “The Power to Surprise” as their corporate slogan.
Currently, Kia produces the most sophisticated cars –such as Picanto, Cadenza, and Optima–, as wells as sport utility vehicles and commercial vehicles like trucks. The latest launching is the GT4 Stinger, an affordable sports car with incredible features: rear-drive 2 2, four-cylinder engine and 315 horsepower. “It’s a 2 2 sports car that can turn heads as a daily driver while also being right at home on the track. It’s about purity, simplicity and timelessness”, said the chief designer, Tom Kearns.
One of Kia’s self-imposed goals is to exceed their customers’ expectations, which are why they push the boundaries of performance with every new model they introduce. For 2014, Kia is planning on continuing surprising customers with new versions of the solid classics of the brand and keeps on working to have another year of growth in sales and reputation overseas.
