The origins of the brand Peugeot are related to coffee and bicycles. It turns out that Jean-Jacques Peugeot started his little business at the beginning of the 19th century in a French village. After he died, his two sons continued the family business but took it to a whole new level. They were able to build an industrial company that intervened in many activities.

By the year 1889, one of the Peugeot heirs created the first car and by that made of Peugeot the second most ancient car company in the world. Eighty years later, the brand was already producing five million units. In the present time, it stands after Volkswagen as the second biggest European car company.

Peugeot has a distinctive style very much related to the French aesthetics. It’s been 200 hundred years of continuous innovation, but not only in cars. The brand still maintains its own bicycle company and the production of the most stunning pepper pots, which are a symbol of refinement and luxury.

As far as car innovation, Peugeot has presented its own electric car, Peugeot iOn, in 2010, and the 3008 HYbrid4 in 2012. Race cars are a specialty as well, many of which have won historic challenges and helped positioning the brand in a very specific category.
