Clio, Twingo, Renault 19, Mégane are just some of the iconic models of this French brand. Like many of its competitors, Renault was born in Europe at the end of the 19th century. The Renault brothers (they were three) initiated an industrial business that consolidated during the First World War. Nowadays, the company is a mega corporation with participation of the French Government, Nissan and other minor stakeholders.
Renault has managed to develop models that lasted a very long time in the market. The reason behind this success has to do with the design and the style they were able to build, very appealing to the general public. Cars like Renault Logan, Sandero, Duster and of course the ones previously mentioned, have given Renault a leading role in the market.
One of the passions of this brand is the Formula 1. For many years, Renault has competed as a builder and has even introduced the turbo engines for the first time in this category. During the periods in which it was not an active participant, Renault managed to be involved anyhow, delivering engines to various teams and watching them win the races.
Presently, Renault is working in adding multimedia features to its newest cars. For example, the last Fluence already comes with R-Link: touch screen and integrated GPS.
