If we are talking about sports car companies, each one of us can mention an European company which is the pioneer of these technologies. American cars are strong and very variable, but are completely different to the European models. If there is a mark that can compete in Europe, it is Cadillac, and here it is a little bit of its history.
American History . In the year of 1701, the French army officer, Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac (who founded the most famous city in Michigan) spoke of Detroit. In the year of 1902, William Murphy created the brand of cars Cadillac inspired by the name of the French officer above.
As it must be assumed, the company lies in Detroit, and since 1909 is part of the General Motors Group.
The company began to have an increase in sales and was more known thanks to some personalities bought this type of vehicles: the king of rock Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis are a clear example of this. Also, some presidents such as Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama used limousines created by Cadillac.
Currently, Cadillac sold very well in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America. Although it has a division in the European market, currently has very little participation thanks to pressure from cars of Audi, BMW, Aston Martin, Ferrari among others.
